The Game Awards 2020: All of the winners and major results from the biggest night in gaming

Though it looked to simply be a showcase for future video game releases at many points, The Game Awards 2020 did pull through on honouring its commitment to spotlight some of the finest video games, actors, content creators and more at their event, which was held in front of a virtual audience with nominees and winners appearing via video link due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Hosted by the brilliant Geoff Keighley (we're so jealous of those dutty kicks) on December 10th, the 2020 slew of accolades were given out to a whole slew of different people, with Naughty Dog bringing home the most prizes for their highly-anticipated Last Of Us sequel, The Last Of Us Part II.

Developers Naughty Dog had already been lauded with praise earlier in the year, picking up Ultimate Game of the Year, PlayStation Game of the Year, Best Visual Design, Best Storytelling and Best Audio thanks to the game’s release.

Following the news that TV network HBO had given the greenlight to move forward with a series based on the Last Of Us story, Part II and the team behind bringing the game and its character to life celebrated a total of seven wins at the 2020 event.
