Five useful tips to make the most of your time in Outriders

Outriders is the latest Looter shooter on the scene after clocking in 40 or so hours so far and disregarding several issues here and there which I cover in my full review, here are some tips I have picked up along the way.

Dismantle everything…like seriously. Destroy it all.

Dismantling unused gear will unlock any mod permanently for use on other items. You can see if you have a mod already in your collection by looking at the small icon that can be seen when you hover over a piece of gear. After that, it’s up to you to decide whether you want to sell or dismantle your gear for scrap, which can be used to buy materials in the future!

Mod little and often.

After dismantling your gear, you will be left with an abundance of materials at your disposal, you might feel the need to hoard any mats you get for future use but modding your gear around your playstyle will see that your time in Enoch is much more enjoyable and it's cheap as chips!

Complete tasks for legendary loot - This is the way.

As you progress through the story you will encounter several people offering you goods in exchange for completing tasks. Hunter tasks will provide you with Armor, Wanted tasks will provide you with weapons, and Historian tasks will provide you with a mixture of the two. Upon completing all 10 available tasks in each category you will be rewarded with a Legendary piece of gear for each one.

My suggestion would be to complete these as you go, so not only do you get a steady supply of improvements along the way, but you also get a nice gift to top it all off at the end of the road! This is also repeatable, so farm away to your hearts content.

I’m not picking that up. Autoloot is here to save the day!

Whilst seemingly absent at first glance, autoloot is implemented although not how you would expect. By going into the gameplay settings, you will see that autoloot will have a minimum rarity threshold which you can customise to your liking. By setting it to your desired rarity, you will find upon leaving an area you will loot everything automatically that was previously left behind, saving you the trouble of running around collecting everything manually.

You do you Boo Boo. *sassy snap*

It is not hard to find an overwhelming amount of content with a quick google or YouTube search resulting in the aptly titled “BEST INSANE END GAME 360 NOSCOPE DAMAGE BUILD” guides. But something to remember, this is not a ‘Games as Service’ title, once you have completed whatever content available right now…that is it. Play the game at your own pace and get creative with your own builds, the game gives you plenty of freedom to do just that. Unless pumping end game content in a day is more your style, then you can do that too.

Outriders is available now on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
